Boundless Southern Africa, supported by the Joint Action NaturAfrica / C-NRM programme, showcases the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs) at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2024, held annually in Durban, South Africa.
Boundless Southern Africa, the SADC initiative for the tourism market development and investment promotion of the Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs) of southern Africa, is proud to announce its participation in the iconic Africa’s Travel Indaba 2024. This year’s event, held from May 13th to 16th at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban, is a beacon for the tourism industry, providing opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing the best of tourism the continent has to offer.
Boundless Southern Africa aims to highlight the unique and diverse nature, culture and community tourism offerings of the TFCAs. These pristine regions represent the pinnacle of sustainable tourism development, embodying the spirit of conservation, community upliftment and regional collaboration. The initiative’s presence at Indaba underscores its commitment to fostering socio-economic growth while preserving the continent’s natural heritage and supporting the efforts of the member states to promote regional tourism.
“We are thrilled to be part of Africa’s Travel Indaba, a platform that resonates with our vision of sustainable tourism and investment in the region,” said Nick Tucker from Boundless Southern Africa. “Our participation is not just about showcasing the beauty of Southern Africa, but also about creating lasting partnerships, with public and private sector stakeholders, that will drive the future of tourism in the TFCAs and SADC, whilst contributing to socio-economic development for local communities”.
