Tour de Tuli 2017

This annual event takes place in the Tuli region with the Limpopo Valley Airfield serving as the start-off point. The Tour de Tuli is an event that seeks to raise funds for Children in the Wilderness, a charity programme run by Wilderness Safaris. the route for this event transverses the Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area, which includes Botswana , Zimbabawe and South Africa

ITB Berlin 2017

The International Tourism Fair in Berlin (ITB) has selected Botswana as its partner country for its annual fair in March 2017. At this fair, one of the main international travel trade shows, Botswana will present its many attractions both to the tourism industry and to the general public. BTO and GIZ have chosen to team up for this event in order to present Botswana as an unmatched destination for international tourism as well as a gateway for regional tourism.

State of KAZA Symposium 2016

It is now 10 years on since the signing of the KAZA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the five partner countries on 7 December 2006 at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and five years since the signing of the KAZA Treaty in Luanda, Angola on 18 August 2011, both crucial milestones in its path to establishment.

17th Conference of the Parties to CITES

CITES COP17 Conference is running from 24th September to 5th October in Johannesburg, South Africa. CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) is an international agreement between governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival. The SADC TFCA Network will have a permanent exhibition ("booth") and will organize various side events.

SADC TFCA Network Symposium

The Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs) in the SADC region contain numerous (and often very large) protected areas (PAs), community owned land and in some cases, private land. Achieving effective conservation and rural sustainable development in these landscapes is challenging because of growing population pressures, illegal hunting, encroachment of wild lands and a variety of other threats.

Mlawula Magadzavane Challenge Walk

This is an Eco-challenge Walk up the Lubombo Mountains on the Maputaland Biodiversity Hotspot to help bring back nature walks and appreciation of the biodiversity hotspot.
It serves to also draw attention to the beauty of the Lubombo Landscape on which the Lubombo TFCA is set.
