Development of Pafuri-Sengwe Joint Security Plan

Objectives: 
The main aim of the project is to develop a Joint Security Plan for the GLTFCA Pafuri-Sengwe Node. Specific project objectives include the following: (1) Provide an understanding of the status quo; (2) Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks; (3) Compare and align current safety and security methodologies; (4) Coordinate and align joint / cross border operational needs; (5) Set minimum standards for security and protection; (6) Develop joint protocols and operational procedures, including for cross-border medical evacuations; (7) Develop a resourcing plan to address current and future financial, human and operational needs; and (8) Develop a M&E plan to ensure compliance and measure impact.

The main objective of the proposed assignment is to develop a Joint Security Plan for the GLTFCA Pafuri-Sengwe Node and more specifically for the southern part of the GLTFCA in order to: (1) Provide for more effective and efficient joint operations to mitigate wildlife crime; and (2) Determine current and future financial and human resource capacity needs to support ongoing joint operations.
