Grassroot Wealth Education Initiative (GWEI) is an indigenous Community-Based NGO which is registered with the Government through Ministry of Community Development and Social Services under the Non-Government Organizations’ Act CAP, 2009 (section No. 16 of 2009). GWEI registration no. RNGO 101/2538/2025, and Youth Care and Community Prevention Programs (YCCPP) which is also registered with Chirundu District Council under the LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT CHAPTER 281 SECTION 61 OF THE LAWS OF ZAMBIA, SECOND SCHEDULE NUMBER 49 (C). YCCPP registration is Cert 0015 and initially registered on 09/092003 under the Registrar of Societies “SOCIETIES RULES” (section 7 (1) of Societies Act CAP 119).

GWEI/YCCPP scope of work is to provide education/capacity building, empowerment and wealth creation to less privileged people in marginalized and underserved communities in the district and beyond in Zambia. The organization is focused on six (6) thematic program areas of interventions as follows;

(1) Education – Early Child Development/Education up to tertiary level.

(2) Health - primary health care and support services.

(3) Agriculture – Agri-food production, household food security and climate adaptation and risk reduction (mitigation).

(4) Environment/Natural resources – Tree planting and biodiversity, Water development & Sanitation in marginalized and underserved communities of Zambia.

(5) Human Rights – Children’s rights and protection, Gender Based Violence, Child abuse/labor (forced marriages) and,

(6) Youth Skills Development - capacity development and engagement in Agri-food productivities and environmental stewardship to address the pressing social and economic challenges being faced by the majority Zambians.

It’s in this regard that GWEI/YCCPP is applying for financial partnerships to support the organization in providing community (household) digital Information, Education and Communication (IEC) on Human rights, Health and nutritional information services. The program will be implementated in five provinces of Zambia (Southern, Lusaka, Central, Copperbelt and Eastern provinces, GWEI/YCCPP catchment areas.
