Imakando Sinyama is a senior manager at CollaboretUp. He specializes in environmental learning and human and institutional capacity development. Imakando has a strong background in Social Learning approaches, Collaboration, and Adaptation. He has designed and facilitated multi-stakeholder initiatives in Southern Africa in the biodiversity and conservation sectors, bringing together donors, implementers, government officials, and private sector actors to collectively design and implement strategies across Southern Africa. He has recently served as a Director of Collaboration and Learning on a USAID-funded Combating Wildlife Crime in Southern Africa program, where he successfully co-designed and facilitated a series of Special Platforms for Action, Reflection, and Collaboration in CWC (SPARCCs). Imakando holds a Master's Degree in Environment and Sustainability Education from Rhodes University of South Africa. His research focus was on Social Change. He is currently undertaking a PhD study focusing on community engagement in addressing Human-Wildlife Conflict and Co-existence challenges in Southern Africa.
