The International Tourism Fair in Berlin (ITB) has selected Botswana as its partner country for its annual fair in March 2017. At this fair, one of the main international travel trade shows, Botswana will present its many attractions both to the tourism industry and to the general public. BTO and GIZ have chosen to team up for this event in order to present Botswana as an unmatched destination for international tourism as well as a gateway for regional tourism. In its displays, the partnership will acquaint tour operators and tourists with the three trans-frontier conservation areas (TFCA), which Botswana shares with its neighbours Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and beyond: the Kavango-Zambezi TFCA, the Greater Mapungubwe TFCA and the Kgalagadi trans-frontier park.
