Objectives:
(1) Understanding historical and current community land-use patterns, wildlife numbers and movement patterns and ecological conditions;
(2) Strategies that recognize and support wildlife, community and economic values and provide for adaptation as conditions change including from climate change, changing economies and changing community needs;
(3) improved or re-established regional and transfrontier connectivity of the region’s wildlife populations;
(4) Long-term community support mechanisms developed in cooperation with tourism operators and international donors to support on-going transitions to and maintenance of a diversity of land uses;
(5) Capacity for long-term adaptive management through community monitoring programs of plan effectiveness, supervision of agreed land use compliance and monitoring of wildlife movement, numbers, and distributions.
